Tip on the best browser to use when posting to Craigslist

There are several factors that make Mozilla's Firefox 2 a very desirable browser to use when posting to Craigslist websites.

Tip on the best browser to use when posting to Craigslist

Example of Firefox spell check

  • The number one consideration, In my opinion, is the built-in spell checker in Firefox 2.
As the example picture of this tip shows, any misspelled word is underlined in red. Although that is usually enough to alert you to small mistakes, you can also right-click the underlined word and Firefox will pop up all the variations of possible spellings. You can then click on the one you want to use, and it corrects the error on your post.  Having spelling mistakes in your posts is probably not going to make your ads or posts look very professional.
  • The second consideration is that Firefox 2 supports tabs.
Tabs allow you to open up multiple websites at teh same time, in the same browser window. You can click on a tabs to switch between web pages.  For example, when deciding which category to select when posting to a certain Craigslist website,  you may want to check the postings in that category on that site Craigslist website to see what other types of posts are on there that day. With Firefox 2 you simply press the <CTRL> and <T> keys at the same time to open a new tab, then type in the URL of the site you are reviewing. You can also use this top advantage when cutting and pasting from older posts to an new post.

This Firefox information link has all the new release notes on these and many other features.

You can download Firefox free from here. Remember, you can have both Internet Explorer and Firefox installed and working at the same time.
